This new resource has been developed to explain the range of nursing roles appearing due to the digital evolution of work across health and social care.

The resource is divided into two sections, an introduction to current and emerging digital roles and a look at the digital tools that nurses are either developing or implementing in the workplace. Each section contains a variety of videos and podcasts for users to explore.

The RCN's Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) programme will help you to develop your clinical and leadership skills through a unique course of learning and its application into practice.

This innovative programme will prepare participants for current and future challenges to their roles that directly impact on the prevention or management of infection.

Introducing Critical Care consists of bite-sized learning resources covering the many different aspects of critical care, from cardiovascular failure to gastrointestinal issues. It includes flash cards that can be printed and used in practice as well as advice on maintaining your own health and resilience.

Developed by critical care nurses and specialists across the UK, with input from the RCN’s Critical Care Nursing Forum, the resource can be used on the go and will benefit all nursing staff including students and those interested in critical care.

The learning module provides online access to resources which take between three to 30 minutes to complete, with the whole course taking no more than 15 hours in total. It complements another learning module from the RCN on end of life care and nursing wellness [see below].

This programme will provide the participant with resources to support the delivery of end of life care to the dying person, their family and carers.

We also address the identification of the use of self-care mechanisms for the nursing and midwifery workforce, introducing coping strategies to promote self-health.

The programme will introduce you to a set of resources which provide flexible and accessible learning resources which can be revisited at any time and accessed for their learning and development.

This new resource will support nursing support workers (NSWs) individually or as part of their workplace induction programme – to learn in their own time, and get started in their health care career.

The resource has been developed to support NSWs against the codes and standards for each of the UK countries.

First Steps maps to a range of National Occupational Standards that will support and expand on their portfolio of learning.

In addition, there are five assessment quizzes to complete. RCN members will be able to download a certificate to demonstrate that they have successfully passed all of these.
